Absolutely
What does it mean
To live a hard life?
By all accounts I’ve heard,
We’re all living the hardest lives.
Nothing is going as we wish.
There is always something
We wish for desperately.
By all accounts I’ve heard,
The whole of humanity
Is no better off than the rest.
We’re all, every single one of us,
In the absolute worst situation,
And no one can say otherwise.
And if they did, well then,
They just don’t understand,
They haven’t been in our shoes.
They are wrong, absolutely.
And if I knew they were right,
I wouldn’t try to understand,
And I will never be willing to try.
Because their story is lesser,
Their struggle unmerited
Compared to my own strife.
Because it’s all about me,
And my individual struggle.
Nothing else matters, save for me,
And I know that. Absolutely.
Right?
