Sometimes the bass, the treble,
Seem to ease his basic troubles.
Listening to those notes, one after the other,
He’s able to put one foot before the other.
To persist, through it all, to exist, happily.
To ignore all the world’s ugly happenings.
His mind escapes into sonic dreamscapes.
Melodramatic melody reminds him, humanity
Is capable of creations beautiful and immense.
Creations that cannot be silenced.
In a sense, it reminds him, of his innocence.
The music seems to soothe like incense.
Despite the incessance it brings silence.
In warm musical incandescence
A silence exists, through sound.
Paradoxical, though sound.
To him this represents the quintessence
Of the whole that is the human essence.
Nice write :) Reminds me of Jatras [open air operas]
Glued to straw or bamboo mats I used to sit ogling at the actors and actresses shouting their dialogues amidst lodest sound of music...

We'll just keep writing 'til there's nothing left to write.
