Shards of a mirror or a window, shattered. 

One of those forbidden words, uttered.

The dishes lay dirty on the counter, cluttered. 

A drink spilt on the new carpet, shudder 

With that nauseous feeling of utter... dread. 

Oh, how innocent we once were. 

Now we break hearts, and all the while smile. 

We break wills, just to see if they will break. 

We break promises, sworn on unsteady premises. 

We break up, tell loved ones to leave the premises. 

We break down, tell loved ones we're leaving...forever. 

Oh, how cruel life is and makes us.
