There's one less thing
Left to defend
I've lost my grip
And stability again
But it's given a few chances
To observe with hollow eyes
The landmarks that erode away
And the passing patterns in the sky
I haven't spoken in a while
If you care, I apologize
But I've been deep into my studies
And lost in another's guise
What beautiful creatures are we
Who can love, hate and anything in-between
We can express or compress what we know
Or atleast, what we believe
You could consider yourself a best-friend
A sister or brother who lacks the same blood
Then a stupid little argument could rip you in two
And on either side, one would feel betrayed
We classifiy ourselves and each-other
Failure, friend, ally or aquaintance
We live by intangible rules of encounter
And we either shake our hands or explode
Love fades like pencil on paper
You scribble things down to remember them
With or without specifics or details
With time, you'll forget, as will the paper
No matter what
But why do so many thrive on negativity?
Why hate your home country when it's given so much?
Why hate those who fight when they do it for you?
Questions they only answer with yet another question
Life's become far too complicated
Too many diseases, too many phobias
Enough contradictions to make your head spin on its axis
And enough hypocrisy to fuel a vegan missile with beef
An abundance of drama and a serious decline in beauty
So much irrelevant conflict and so many who deny what's real
Everything has to be one color, one shade, one tone
And we may never share, we may simply seperate or conquer
Ladies and gentlemen
I present to you
The logic of present day Earth
And the reason why I love video games.
