Blunt (Second Movement)

I came to be upon Domino Hill

Timber slopes all around

Suburban daze still surrounds

It was there that we staked our claim

The neglected woods were set ablaze

Seeking shade under the hood of a truck

Stark crimson mad-man running amuck

That mighty tree fell and we built it back up

While one place to stay was never enough

As we grew apart and scattered around

Our grand ol' empire came crumbling down

We were the mighty Timber elite

And it all came to a fleeting halt in front of us

We've all moved so god damn far away

Eventually, duty free ended for me

Without consent I was made employee

Slinging hot water against the walls

In moments time I had seen it all

Inhaled, exhaled, hit the cabinet door

Somebody got my leg on their way to the floor

Even the fog would smile as we passed on by

Author's Notes/Comments:

For some reason, I can't stand how this is turning out. As you can see, it's under really heavy construction.
