Unwarranted waves
Collide in my mind
And on my face
In a room full
of people I no longer know
On the journey I did pursue
After that night
They worshipped you
I was after something
I couldn't place
But every now and then
It shone through your face
And I the weary traveller
Found you alone and in motion
Finding your way home
And I fell apart inside
She had a dream
I didn't believe
But then again I'm a skeptic
She lived it years out
And lives it somewhere now
Somehow
Just don't let them take
The part of you that
Had enough strength
To live six years as a fake.
