Whatever your faith,
a big bang precedes all; the
proof in our hearts still
lingers, that certain feeling
when the Beloved is near.

Author's Notes/Comments:
A Christian, I believe in the big bang as a viable cosmological model, the physical manifestation of God's command, "Let there be light." Fundamentalists may criticize me for not believing that the six days of creation were six earth days. Since we commonly think in terms of local time (hence the globe's several time zones), I suggest that the six days of creation had, for their duration, God's, and not man's, local time. For those who object that God exists out of time, I suggest that, must as Christ took on our flesh in order to accomplish His ministry among us, God may have created His own local time in order to enhance our limited understanding of his creative purposes and processes.
