Melted to Nothing

Folder:
06. Love Lost

To see you, my happiness.
To hear you, my dream come true.
To feel you, my bliss.
It scares me!
So tires to pavement
this story concludes.
Now you choose her
and all that I've started to feel
stabs from knives.
Now my heart is
Broken,
Bleeding.
See it on the floor.
I can't say a word:
Not to you, not to her.
Sew my own lips shut.
It stays inside, buried 6 feet deep.
I had let my hopes soar high --
too high it seems.
Caught by passing jet planes,
now they've flown away.
This poet, at a loss for words.
This artist, with a canvas blank.
Scratched/torn asunder.
All my heart craves - testosterone addiction
to have, just once, something lasting.
The fleeting glimpse of what could be
haunts my every thought.
All things melt to nothing
as candles on tables that were waiting for you.
Just as my feelings start to glow --
flicker like embers on a cigarettes butt
So now I say goodbye to that hope.
My life empty as poems untold.
Devoid of hope.
Devoid of joyous thoughts.
Devoid of a chance to love.
