I know sometimes i can be too much,

never did i ever really mean to rush,

but her touch hit the pedal and the motor roared,

if only i was forwarned she was getting slightly bored,

it takes a lot of pain to learn from our past,

just as much winning as coming in dead last,

all the time that's passed hasn't changed one thing,

still to this day i think us as some dumb fling,

i got a green addiction and i drink too much,

never did i ever really mean to rush,

late on the bus she was all i'd see,

now any time of the day our memories are all i see,

i know sometimes i can hide so much,

but you saw something in me then gutted me like a dutch,

come back to me, come back to see,

that the boy i was is now a new man to see.
