Don't make the mistake i constantly make,

run off at the sign of pain, act fake,

not a looker, more a thinker and lover,

now a quitter, don't care for any other,

just keep your head up, i'm sure it's hard,

wake up, don't make up, show your scars,

be who you are, none change but some,

become the person they've always dreamed to become,

the writing, the fighting, who called the firefighters?

out goes our spark, someone pass a lighter,

with a rum on rocks close by, i write her,

into every line and stroke of the pen i hide her,

we were supposed to fly, not collide and die,

supposed to say when, not ask why,

don't stop now, you can still fly alone,

take any stress filled moment and extract it in a poem.
