Once remember blue eyes, now i forget,
used to dream of colored but really want brunette,
surprise you disguise your blonde,
only come when your sad, a pick up don,

i remember sharing texts, wondering whats next,
count the ways you let me down, regret the sex,
all i remember is your eyes were so bright,
how in love we were that October night,

now a beautiful goodbye becomes how you try
to pick up the broken, stretch their wings in your sky,
color of your eye, perfect features on your face,
taking all my pain and disgrace,

turning it all a new leaf, teaching me how
to easily get over anyone right now,
i remember your eyes were so bright,
when we walked the pier in the dark October Friday night.
