Not really sure what numb can say,
thoughts have taken over today,
mom has news, she has cancer,
hurts me more i couldn't answer,

we all move along acting like life,
doesn't cause any harm or strife,
when really it can kill you, or in my case
make everything feel out of place,

please don't take her, let her be fine,
let it be wrong, let it be benign,
i lost a gran i can't lose a mother,
leaving me alone on the east with my father and brother,

i say i know but i hope that it
will be fine, if not, don't quit,
i will put you in my thoughts, just so
with Nonnie isn't a place you go.
