They Were Lies

Folder:
May 2011

It's easy to handle when you understand love is like a candle,
if the flame is lit too long it drips all over the mantle,
no surface can hold how long our wax must have been slippin,
with every day another kiss we left our candle drippin,

when the flame goes out the lighter must do the clean up,
why the fuck i put so much into you, for you bought a pup,
still live by some of the same rules, always see a half full cup,
mixed with new trends now i know when enough is enough,

mentally tired and still hungover from hangin around you,
i told you you'd be the one to leave me, you were bound to,
still can't believe that still i'm hurtin,
and apparently you're with someone else and somehow it's workin,

i guess every one needs to once and a while ash,
clean up their life, must mean i was your trash,
hope every time you wake up and look into Louie's eyes,
you remember all our memories, from me to you they were lies.
