I know what is what, i know what fits where,
i was the only one who watched it crumble, only one who cared,
pure intention of far surpassing a junior, never really got dropout humor,
need stepping stones to appear sooner, my future is more to me than a rumor.

There was a time when i was complete, there was a girl who knocked me off my feet,
each time she entered the room, i'd fly right off my seat,
this girl left me for a creep, i stayed with that girl even though she was a cheat,
she left me over the phone in the street, same words to a much different beat.

Between our bodies my lover,
we'll find it all beneath the covers,
never was really one for any other,
you are the girl who picked me over my brother.

Our memories are much like a freshly baked cookie,
they are great when they first come out, chocolate chipped rookie,
they lose any importance two bites into the next,
we lost anything we had left, when come back of the year and i were busy with a text.

Hard to forget, easy to space out,
I was an astronaut for you, why'd you kick me out?
