November 2010 Nothing but a word that creates money for Hallmark,
hurts like a flood and bites like a shark,
if love were real why would actresses be able to act it for money,
if love were real then so would St. Nick and the Easter Bunny.
Simply put an easy way to describe a strong attraction,
well I am barely living proof that it comes as only a distraction,
if love were real my first would not be married in Boston,
if love were real my past would not be gone and rotten.
Never use a word so silly and weakening as love,
I will ram it head on and give it a quick mental shove,
if love were real my second and last would not be filthy and rich,
if love were real then life would never be said to be a bitch.
You can fool an audience on the big screen or sing as a musician,
you can create cards or a holiday, but never will they come to fruition,
if love were real how could you fake a smile or even a look,
if love were real there would barely be a need for a pen and a notebook.
