Wasn't That Me Last Year?

Folder:
August 2010

Faded memories of friendly enemies,
having drinks or drinking halves,
barbecue by lying big,
I wish I was like you,
easily amused and happily refused,
and wasn't that me last year in that seat?
unhappy and sadly going about my night,
yet this year, with him, you smiled,
you are happy,
brother from another mother also seemed happy,
but wasn't that us broothers doing that last year?
wasn't that me making goofy faces in those pictures?
how do you expect me to take it one day at a time,
when seconds are feeling like months,
years like centuries,
I have already died and been reborn through the clock of a lighter,
now I spend my centuries with no fear,
and happily no new years girl.
