still stuck on last nights goodbyes,
that daily 10pm conversation,
my daily all the time admiration.
Engine's running overtime, yet never overheat,
speak your words captain while i'm on the edge of my seat,
never feel defeat, i knew it all along,
i love you, you're the only one who makes me feel strong.
At first i could barely say i know you,
but from the elevator ride on i could say i want you,
it was never a secret,
and if it was i clearly couldn't keep it.
Turn down the engines, cool down the jets,
crazy with you how high on love i get,
as i try to wipe off all the sweat,
i promise i haven't finished imrpoving yet.
