Sleeping Beauty

                Sleeping Beauty lays lenient

                Body scored with burns.

On a pedestal made by me

                Turning slowly; all behold.

Her gold hair down softly falls

                Covering her naked back,

                Wrapped around her luscious body,

Protect her from the peasant's wrath.

                Rip her from the wooden steeple;

                Platform falling in the dust!

Take her down into the basement,

                She should feel every thrust.

Close the eyes of the watcher,

                Fallen on the window sill.

                Battered angel sleeping madly

Willing you to die as well.

                Now, bite your tongue

                And keep your mouth shut!

No one's interest [is] what you think.

Keep the blood from spilling down,

Dripping from your tongue and cheeks.

                Sleeping Beauty won't you listen?

Hear the pharaohs call your name.

Bring you down into the darkness,

                Begging you "erase the pain."

From the minds of mindless soldiers!

Frontmen in a war of faith,

Keep hush the orders raining soundly,

Forgotten with the breath you take.

Madmen in the name of freedom,

They'll bring you only just a taste....

                Fall back,

                Scream the imps and goblins.

                Breaking into your room,

                Take you down off of the wall;

                Out of darkness into gloom.

Fight your way up to the surface!

Break the water for your breath.

Pray your end is near enough,

For someone [to] lay you down to rest.
