The air was heavy
The end was near
They shiver with their fear
Coming to terms with the rights of their gods
Or with no one at all.
All are different
But painfully the same
Each would rather it was someone else in this place
Laying blame on all but themselves
For the Chaos they now know
Some drop to their knees
With a terror filled last moment of submission
Of surrender
Tears flow from their eyes
Promises, prayers, from their slack lips
These warriors, valiant and honorable men
Babble mindlessly to be freed before it's too late
Men so strong were reduced to their now unintelligible selves
What happened?
Is there any force that could possibly
be enough to knock them down?
The men shudder in revulsion
Terror again filling their eyes
The fervor in which they cry and scream
Becoming high pitched
All for the unknown,
The power it holds for us all
And it is with this one factor
One minor defect
We are all equal.
