Two moons rise in an orange sky
Brilliantly purple in contrast.
My dear,
All along the clouds they'll fly.
Afraid of the orange night as you are
I bask in the temperate light
Drying out.
And all the water's stopped running
In and out.
The bed's dry
And I crackle and peel.
Like dried mud waiting for a monsoon.
Rain, rain go away,
I heard you call.
Sweet thing so scared of the clouds
Lover of mine from so long ago.
But the orange sky breaks
Pouring forth a storm
You shudder, lover
It fills me
All up, all up.
You fill me.
And I grow,
A tree with blue limbs
Reaching for an orange night,
To make love to a purple moon
