Contrast

I see you from across the room,

I cannot attempt to speak a word

I don't want to speak so soon,

But I feel I need this to be heard

I look at you, I see the light,

I hear you too, turning darkness, light

Light up my path, to make my life anew,

What I need to say, is I love you.

I see you from across the room,

How could I have been so blind?

I know now what is the truth,

All you try to do is corrupt my mind.

You are the darkness, that hurts my light.

That mindless shadow, changing dim what was once bright.

I would hate to have you cast on me,

In any way that you always do.

I would hate to have you cover me,

I need you to remember that I hate you.
