Armageddon

The bitter sand blew by,

Stars were hurdling from the sky.

A look of bewilderment across the world's face,

Armageddon's sight would leave no trace.

The inevitable doom could be seen,

The sky had turned a startling green.

You couldn't help but shed a tear,

At once, Overwhelmed by fear.

The sweat and tears hazed the vision,

The earth began its final fission.

No repair, no help, no tool.

The end of what we built,

How fitting, yet so cruel.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem March of 2009 to symbolize the inevitable end of the world, as a result of what people are doing.
