Shattered Frienship
beginning a new chapter of my life
with lacking words of wisdom
going through life's motions alone
because no one seems to care
you used that stood by my side
but now you've left me here alone
i'm wondering where you went
or if you think about me at all
we promised to be friends forever
but forever must have ended
my very best friend just isn't around
somehow we've fallen apart
time just keeps on passing by
days turn into weeks and then soon into months
the wall between us getting higher
our friendship just cracking and falling
you promised to be there always
but now you're never around
too many times i've called you up
just to get the answering machine
yet another unreturned call
so now i just sit here waiting
for you to just give me the time of day
the friendship we once had is nothing
it's rotted and gone away
never once did we argue
or mutter an angry word
slowly we've just drifted apart
so i guess now is my final goodbye
although you will never know
that i've given up on being your friend
i've given it my best to heal this wound
but still i'll be here waiting
just for you to return my call
and i'll always wonder what i've done
to make you go away
always i will miss you
the many memories we've made
the way you made things ok
and the way we bonded every single day
but just most of all
i'll miss you just being my friend
