everytime you fall back down

lying there on the ground

look up at me without a sound

there's no one else around

now that everybody's gone

after all is said and done

you were on a roll and on the run

from the shadows i saw it all

i watched you stumble and i watched you fall

i saw you crash and burn

and waited for my turn

in a line that was much too long

while you tried to figure out where you belong
