FOND MEMORIES PRI

On the top of the hill sits PRI

Where fate, brought a stranger to try

His luck and skills, in an unknown place

Of dignity, repute and full of grace

Six months passed, within a blink

Leaving is hard my heart does sink.

Consultants, Colleagues, Juniors, Secretaries, and Staff

Whom I respect, call friends and share a laugh

Be it in the wards, theatre or HDU

Everyone would be around to help me through

Finding my feet in a system entirely new

I was encouraged all along and the confidence grew

Mr Murray, gentle, with his soft spoken ways

Mr Boyd and Mr Ericson with their meaningful gaze

Mr Fok with his touch of perfection

Mr Murdoch and Elsedawy with their affection

I thank you dear teachers for all you taught

Lessons learnt well, not to be forgot

The nurses with their kindness and professional agility

Working so hard, beyond human ability

I will miss the doctors’ room in ward four

With its hustle and bustle, as admissions grew more

The JHO’s with their cardex’s and clerking

Working days and nights, yet eyes sparkling

For tasks well done, in most satisfying way

As the rounds moved from bay to bay

CEPODS, Electives and emergencies out of the blue

The theatre staff working their way through

With an occasional frown but always a smile

Making operating always worth while

I feel so proud to be a part of such team

All these will become a memory appear a dream

The good days have finally come to an end

The rules are clear they cannot bend

It is time for me to go

With lovely, fond memories of all those I know
