I love to visit London
Travelling aimlessly in the tube
Amused at watching stress
Dressed in suits and ties
On way to work
And skirts on high heels
Walking gingerly
Unaware of admiring eyes
I love the hustle and bustle
Of tourists and visitors
Speaking different dialects
Moving in rhythm to the grand orchestra
Of wheels on rails
As the tube snakes through tunnels
A mile deep
I love gazing at the big posters
On ghost stations
Tingling memories of years gone
The London West End
And dramas galore
Of movies and books
A passion rekindled to my heart’s core
I love listening to “Mind the gap”
And the announcements
Playing “Echo and Narcissus”
From platform to platform
I love watching people
Chatting, texting, reading, dozing
Staring in space
Counting stations to their destination
I love riding on the underground
I love being amidst the chaos
It is so peaceful
I like this poem...very well
I like this poem...very well written
