--- না জগদীশ, তর্ক ছাড়ো, যুক্তিতে আসো।
তোমার এমন হেয়ালীপনায় জগতের বিশৃঙ্খলা।
মানুষ শুধুই ঘুরছে চরকির মতো।
অথচ স্বাধীনতা দিয়েছ পাখির,
স্বাধীনতা দিয়েছ বাঘের
কেন আমি সঁপে দেই তোমাতে
শীতের সকালে চৈত্রের দুপুরে
বর্ষার জোয়ারে পোড়া বসন্তে!
অন্তত স্বাধীনতার জন্য একটা আকাশ আমার চাই ।
সেই আকাশে মুখ দেখবো টলটলে জ্যোৎস্নায়।
খোঁপায় দেবো তারার ফুল। কানে দেবো রঙধনু।
গলায় দেবো জপমালা। এইবার খুশী ?
নাও, কিছু তো বলো?
এই কী! ক্রমশ লাল হচ্ছো?
ডুবে যাচ্ছো নাকি?
কিসের এতো অভিমান তোমার
হৃদপিন্ড ফালাফালা করে রঙ ছাড়ছো!
