Question-1:
Write from your experience about 5 regular needs in your class and how do you address them?
Answer:
In my class I have to face different types of needs of the learners. They are discussed with the teaching strategies-
1. Hyper active learners: while teaching I sometimes change their seats, and have a close eye on them so that they can not bully or destruct any one’s attention. I do ask those frequent questions as well.
2. Shy learners: I have a particular learner in my class who really does not frequently sit with others. He prefers to sit alone and basically not willing to response in the class from his own. While lecturing I move around him and have a close eye on his activity. If I see, he his facing any challenges, I help him with and one to one interaction.
3. High achievers: they are always advance with their studies. I always prepare some extra questions to engage them in class works. Sometimes I make peer coaching in class with them and ask them to solve problems on board followed by explanation to the whole class.
4. Physical need: I have a student who is physically very week and can not talk or utter sound clearly. She can not finish his task like others. I give her lesser class works than others and praise her works in the class to motivate her.
5. Kinesthetic learners: some students like to play and hands on activities very much. I engage them in group activities and usually they are appointed as class monitors to coordinate between me and the rest class. Sometimes they are given extra classes if they are not able to attend regular classes due to scheduled games tournaments.
Question-2:
Write an explanation about inclusive learning, identifying aspects that helped to make learning inclusive.
Answer:
To the best of my understanding, Inclusive learning strategies refer to any number of learning and teaching approaches that address the needs of students with a variety of backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. These strategies contribute to an overall inclusive learning environment, in which students feel equally valued.
Strategies of inclusive learning:
· Creating and presenting opportunities for learning in such a way that they are accessible to all students
· Making what we teach and the way we teach it much more flexible
· Taking into consideration different learning styles
· Using course content to teach about diversity issues
And it is better to avoid the followings-
· Making radical changes to a course
· Only for some subject disciplines
· Just for under-represented groups
· Something additional to core work
