Dreamgirl

I have a dreamgirl

Who wears her hair in a curl.

Upon me, she cast a spell

And in my heart she does dwell.

Whenever she does smile,

She spellbounds me all the while.

Everyday for her, I sing a song

Day and night, for her I do long

Because to my heart, she does belong.

When she gets up in the morning,

The bird on the tree stops it's yawning

And a love song, it starts singing.

Even a heart as hard as metal

On seeing her, becomes soft like a petal.

To my life, she is a boon

In the darkness, she is my moon.

When I try to speak to her,

My tongue gets tied

And the distance between us

Becomes wide and wide

Even though she showed me life's way

She still keeps me at bay.

Thus I conclude my rhyme

Hoping that we meet in the Sands of Time.
