Into the darkness

I walk all alone

No one with me

No one following me

No one even turning their head

Into the darkness

I am starting to fall

Inviting? It’s not

Help myself? I can’t

And no one is even turning their head

Into the darkness

I fly through the air

And people go on with their lives

They whine and complain about themselves

And no one even turns to look

Into the darkness

I am falling so fast

I cry and try to grasp something and shout

But no one hears, for their lives are too loud

And no one even turns their head

I am stuck in the darkness

I no longer exist

But you know that

And you don’t care because I don’t matter

I am gone and no one even turned to see
