What happened to the days
When we were all so small?
When bad things didn’t happen
And we were in charge of it all?
What happened to the days
When friends were always around?
And even though we knew it was there
We never heard an unhappy sound?
What happened to the days
When depression wasn’t there?
When addictions didn’t cross out minds
Like cutting and pulling out our hair?
These teenage years are really tough
And no one is there to see
We go about our busy lives
And forget how to be
We must remember God he sees
And understands our pain
We just need to give it up to him
And we’ll find there is a lot to gain
