UNDER THE MOON
Behind the blurry maze
of smoke and blood black haze
there's nothing left by my body
but that resisting shadow
and when your moon is new
nothing do I see
nor shadow do I feel
nothing craving my soul
Its dark; empty like the box
you kept my notes in
for you've thrown everything
that I've ever loved
away
So I walk upon this dying hilltop
to the place where you first held me
listening to angels screaming
falling with their broken wings
and one time I could hear you singing
-but aren't you gone, my love?-
and I closed my eyes
while the light broke open
capturing me in its glow
take me away!
please no more of this life
for I cannot live!
if this danger is passing through
let me be
but I'd rather die
than walk through this dismal life
of malicious strife
alone,
without you
