I'm trapped in a joke

I can't back away from

And it makes me cry.

The hiding hints,

And harboring outlawed thoughts.

I guess

i just wanna be

Anywhere but here.

And she's everywhere

I wanna be.

I often say there's always tomorrow

And I remember that night

I questioned my life,

As I wondered,

Where do we go from here?

There might not be a tomorrow.



And all the things

That you want to be

You already are

While choking down

Dreams of a forgotten

Childhood,

They don't always come true.

And you find yourself

In fields of lost hope

Because

Everyone has to have a philosophy

On life.



And you're trapped in a joke that

You had no idea

You were a part of

Hiding hints.

For it's been a while

Since life pushed you

In the right direction.

That doesn't mean

Take it with a grain of salt.



I guess

I just wanna be

Anywhere but here,

This place hurts.

And you stand

On the outside looking in,

Hoping life gives you

A push.

And I stand on the inside

Looking out

Thinking -

Everywhere she is.
