how do I prepare

for when you slip away

for the morning when

I wake up alone

how can I be ready

for the first night

when the darkness falls

and I am alone

how can I know

how I spend my day

with nothing to do

without you here

will the stars still shine

and soft clouds float

will there be rainbows

when I’m alone

days slip away

so much time does pass

as I can only wait

till the day your gone

how do I prepare

how can I ever be

anything at all

without you
