Always On My Mind
You,
You were always on my mind,
Sure, you drifted off from time to time,
But still, you were in my heart,
And even though I fought for it,
I lost you part by part.
So now,
I don’t know what to do,
Wondering “what if?”,
Hurts almost as much as losing you.
Though there’s nothing that can change your mind,
I wonder if you would enjoy the time,
We’d spend together, day and night,
Saying “it’ll be all right”,
I’d give it all,
Just to see you here with me.
If the sun went down,
I’d bring it back up for you to see.
