Imagine, for a moment, how pleasurable life could be if you were to dedicate the majority of your time to the things and experiences that you truly love and enjoy.
Would you spend more time on the internet?
Would you spend more time in front of the television?
I’d planned to have a longer list, but does anybody really do much else with their free time anymore?
Would you continue to accept just a few short weeks away from work each year?
A few weeks a year to enjoy life! Have we really such lowly expectations of ourselves?
Imagine that you dedicated yourself more fully to the art of living than to the accumulation of wealth.
Imagine that your energies were not wasted on laboring to material gain.
Imagine if you worked only to live.
Imagine a life without need for constant electronic distractions.
Imagine if no day, or week even, were to pass by without doing the things you love.
For if we were unable to seize our twenties, I dread to observe our thirties!
In the end there is no trophy to be won for a life dedicated to career or languished in frivolity, just a big empty house to contain the dream shattered soul of a man duped into working and wasting his life away.
Imagine if he knew what really mattered.
Imagine if the pictures on the walls were his own…
Imagine if this choice were yours to make.
Would you have the courage to live a life fully lived?
Well, do you?
