God Bless the Sleeping Children

Never wanting to say goodbye

Yet staying here will cause me to die

These arms too weak to carry that weight

Let the love in your heart override the hate

Killing me softly with each tender kiss

Tracing your face in a moment of bliss

Dancing in dreams all fancy serene

The holes in thy soul will start to fill in

Please let me sleep I do not want to feel

An onion with layers that you have to peel

Stripping away to the core of it all

I am I'm here waiting for your call

Author's Notes/Comments:

Perhaps its time to start again.  More traditional with the clash of ego.  What are we going to sacrifice ourselves for?

Onion Layered

I like the notion, we are so many age rings, grown over time, matured and ready for love from all comers and those closest to us especially. Mysteries unloosed and appreciated - allets -
