I see everything
To look into your eyes
to see something that isn't there
but lives inside me.
My pulse is fast
quickens like the rain
falling from the vast
sky of unimaginable beauty.
I cry in sadness
my defeated spirit
succumbs,
is silenced.
My heart stops
feeling everything
to the point of numbness,
nothingness.
I bow in pain
loss of something
that was never mine to being with.
A single tear falls from
my hazel eyes
falling onto my heeving chest
where it disappears
soaked into my skin
To never return.
