True Kindness

In the quiet depths of human grace,

Where tender hearts their secrets trace,

Lies a kindness, pure and true,

A light that warms the darkest hue.

When pain strikes sharp, and hearts are torn,

When love seems lost, and spirits worn,

The noble soul does not recoil,

Nor feeds revenge's vengeful toil.

Instead, it seeks the other's plight,

To understand, to share their night,

With empathy, it softly gleams,

In whispered words and gentle dreams.

For kindness wears no armor's guise,

No shield of steel, no piercing eyes,

It blooms in hearts that choose to see

The world through lenses of empathy.

When wounds are fresh and tempers high,

It turns the cheek, it does not cry

For justice meted out in pain,

But seeks to heal, to understand again.

In this, the heart finds strength anew,

A virtue rare, a soul so true,

For in the face of hurt and strife,

It offers love, it offers life.

So let us strive, in every way,

To be that light, to gently sway

Our hearts from vengeance, anger’s roar,

To kindness, always seeking more.

For in this world, where shadows play,

Kindness is the dawning day,

A beacon bright, a guide, a friend,

A love that never seeks to end.
