A good man came and went,
With little fanfare he lived a life;
Ninety years his time spent,
He had four kids and a wife.
Like so many gone before
Bringing home his weekly pay,
Without complaint or asking more,
He just did it anyway.
The history books will never note
His life lived and time spent,
And me I’ll not sugar coat,
Though something he truly meant.
Yes, a good man came and went
Without the fanfare some have had,
But in his lifetime that he spent,
He always was a great Dad.
