sapphire droplets
dance on harvest leaves
golden sunshine trapped inside,
crimson leaf of maple
flanked by umber, rust and khaki cousins
lying on a tapestry
of malachite moss
and a maidenhair fern.


Barefoot Children
skipping...
Their laughter mimics rain

          Look there
                  Looking everywhere
         Summer awakened 
          from a siesta 
     shaken from slumber in sudden showers.
