Love gives the soul the wings to fly
Oh, thou, the greatest of loves,
loan me thy wings that I might fly
caution the winds
to stir mightily within the expedient sky above
That I would soar
and touch the greatest
of the clouds up in the sky
to hover on the brink
of its eternal life, having known such a love
Love, thou who give wings
to the hope eternal deep within a hungry soul
teach me the rudiments of flight,
that I should fly upon the crests of hope
and find what is is highest height
Oh, thou, the mightiest of emotions
speak the words to give me lift
warn the zephyrs
bid them to blow with increasing haste
that I would rise
on the wings of time and discover
all that befalls those who dare to seek
Love, in your eternal essence
wing your way unto the depths of my spirit
awaken to life the stirrings of the dream
For I have sought its face
and held fast within its promise
that I would find it in its totality and prime
a love that would somehow, one day be mine
