Stairway
I have walked along the stairway to the moon
gathered its light as an offering of my devotion
Braved stormy oceans as they did heave in tempest
together we shall bask in the glory of its emotion
I have carried the light of love within my hands
bathed in its wonder, shared its moment with you
Dared to climb to the heavens to steal a little part
that eternity might be for ever shared with you
I have traveled to places high above the earth
sought the wisdom of the ages, sought their idyll
Fought against the winds in an effort to survive
the light of this love gave me its determined will
I have learned the secrets of the mighty universe
gained an understanding of its gift of living life
Challenged the tides of adversity and have overcome
that I might bring love's glow, as I become your wife
