He did it his way, he chose the path on which he did go walk
On this way he chose, he walked the walk and talked the talk
Sorrows came and grief’s they appeared at times, upon his way
Life was full as he traveled along, he had no regrets he does say
He was certain of paths on which went, he did what he had to do
His course was planned, he tells his friends, and he saw it through
And as his end comes near, he states his case, of which he is certain
His steps have now all been trod, and now he faces his final curtain
The curtain rises, a hush across the room now, lets hear this man
Standing tall, looking out into the crowd, let him explain if he can
All those reasons why he did what he had to do, the things his way
The roads he traveled now all behind, what does he now have to say
His plans and dreams, once so sure, now lost along life’s yesterdays
Fears and cares all tossed aside, somewhere now vanished in the haze
One last song he sings, his mind now at rest, for he has given his best
For he did His way, he stayed strong as he walked, and passed the test.
