The bird on a wing is a beautiful sight to see
Its wings spread wide as it is in flight overhead
How it soars and dives in the azure blue sky
The glory of freedom as it floats on the breeze
The wind and the world go passing by swiftly
A horse at full gallop is a sight to behold
It’s mane flowing wild and free upon the wind
How it sprints fastly across the fertile earth
The beauty of its strength as it strides away
The wonder of the rider upon its back
The lioness as she stalks her prey is incredible
Her stealth and furtiveness are her weapons
How her victims are so often unaware of danger
The surprise she evokes upon her prey confounds
The sudden leap she makes to capture her dinner
The eagle soars high up in the heavens majestically
It aims for the sun, and reaches the top most cloud
How it skims the skies and eyes the earth beneath
The small creatures of earths garden beware
For tis the eagle that seeks its bounty there below
The spider spins a web so fine, a new one each day
Its dedicated effort creates a fine beauty of its own
How many an insect it has been caught within its trap
The sticky substance doth hold its captive in place
Until our eight legged friend comes to consume
