Silence
In this silence, you voice is lost,
In this silence, everything gripped in a cold frost,
In the silence can we see what we lost.
So many things i never told you,
In my foolish way i thought it protect you.
But only did i do more harm,
You see what i needed to protect you from was myself,
And in that i failed.
I let you in, you screamed and ran away.
You tried to keep it silent,
To keep the tears in,
But i saw them.
Honey, i heard them all,
Heard everything in that silence.
In those eyes, nothing was real.
In those eyes, did i stare so often,
And in those eyes i wondered what was real.
You never said a word about it,
You never let it slip,
A good actress,
Maybe never a better one.
But i saw it in those eyes.
Thinly hidden hate,
Love on top of disgust.
