In the darkness so pure,

In the darkness so bleak,

This is where our emotions cant seem to peak,

In the darkness so bleak,

Now who's the freak?

Welcome to his domain,

here, there is nothing you can gain,

just pray that you manage to leave still sane.

Nothing matters when you cant see it,

We're all the same.

The great equalizer is the night,

The stripper of all that  is or was right.

Twisted visions, our imaginations run wild.

Evil intentions, everyones bad in the night.

In the darkness so overwhelming, wheres your comfort zone?

In the darkness so suffocating, wheres your voice?

In the darkness so maddening, whats the best choice?

In the darkness, lost, where can you go?

In the darkness so numbing, what do you know?

In the darkness so chilling, how does our blood flow?

In the darkness, open your eyes, in the darkness take a look around.

In this place of no light, realize its built on fright,

In this place of no light, look around,

Open your eyes and notice where no bird flies.

In this darkness, so real, what can you feel?

In this darkness, so maddening, what can be real?

In this lonely night, everything you think might be right,

Its all up to you,

No one else can tell you what to do.

Take a look around, see this darkness is me and you,

Take a look in this darkness....thats all that holds true.
