Let me tell you, im fighting a losing battle,

Were all up this damn creek minus one paddle,

Just sit back, no need to tattle,

Chill out, lean back, listen to a living mistake prattle.



Ive spent all these years trying to prove something,

Now I realized I finally got my message across.

Sad thing is, its the wrong message.

In taking care of them, I forgot about us.

In living for them,

I was dying to you.

Running away from you brought me here,

A world consumed by fear,

Every where I look, I shed another tear.

With nowhere to turn to,

I turn around and all I can see is you.



So far away,

Lost and alone,

Theres so many things id never have done,

If only id known.

Useless now, the past has won,

You looked at me dead in the eye, “Its done”
