They did not come home safely to Earth    

They went home safely to the Father-        

Seven new souls to the string of pearls      

Whether or not we'd rather.                       .



They reached high to the heavens in flight        

Never dreaming how close they approached.    

Their voyage done and success in hand          

Suddenly the gates they broached.            

  

And they were warmly welcomed inside      

As expected, greatly honoured guests.          

The world widely mourns its tragic loss              

But will not cease its brave quests.                  



And so amid the tragic events                          

We grieve privately and we sorrow                      

And expect to encounter them soon        

When we reach our tomorrow.
