I placed an Acacia in my hair

Deliberately, with great care

And thought it added a certain flair-

My meaning was quite subtle.



I plucked an Aster quite happily

And tucked it in too, for you to see.

I thought it spoke most eloquently-

The Arbutus I carefully wound

Into the other stems, gently bound;

'Twas the prettiest garland around-

My meaning was quite subtle.



Then I added the Ambrosia too,

Sure it would render my intent true.

It all became my message to you-
